Students are flocking to the Lewis & Clark Boat House as field trips resume. “We’re delighted to again welcome students of all ages and educational settings to our museum,” said Executive Director Bob Foster. “We can customize our programs to fit the needs of teachers, as well as student attention spans and travel distance.” The Boat House routinely partners with the First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site<\/a> and the City of Saint Charles<\/a> to present well-rounded stories of the local history. All front desk staff are retired teachers who are experienced at engaging audiences and taking questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent groups have included home school organizations, visiting high school students from France, all grades of elementary schools, graduate students in museum studies and independent learners. “In addition to custom-tailored presentations for groups, we offer the National Park Service’s Junior Ranger Program<\/a> and fact-finding scavenger hunts at three different grade levels,” Foster said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lewis & Clark Boat House and Museum is a member of the American Alliance of Museums, Missouri Museums Association and is a designated partner on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
